Man In Rowboat Exchanging Object With Woman On Motorboat — Clip Details

A man in a white shirt and blue pants stands in a small rowboat, reaching toward a woman in a motorboat on a calm lake in California, 1955. The woman, wearing a blue top, leans from the motorboat's cabin as they exchange an object. The scene unfolds near a modernist lakeside cabin with large windows, set against a grassy hillside. Shot on 8mm film, the footage displays natural color saturation and film grain, capturing a quiet, everyday moment of mid-century American leisure.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1950s California leisure or boating sequences needing real 8mm home-movie footage of an everyday exchange on a lake.
Period detail: The motorboat styling, small rowboat, casual clothing, and lakeside cabin may show mid-century recreational life in California.
Home-movie behavior: The value is in an unstaged moment as a man in a rowboat reaches toward a woman leaning from a motorboat cabin.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a covered motorboat, small rowboat, man in white shirt, woman in blue top, calm water, grassy hillside, and lakeside cabin.
Film character: The clip has soft 8mm color, visible grain, mild exposure variation, and contact-frame texture that preserve its home-movie origin.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a short insert, leisure cutaway, or quiet memory beat within a mid-century lake or vacation sequence.
Historical context: The scene reflects private recreational boating and casual social interaction in a lakeside setting without identifying the people or property.
Research note: People are visible, so likeness review may be needed; no logos are apparent, and copyright status is separate from personal or property permissions.
