Model Rocket Btry A758 on Launch Pad — Clip Details

NEW HAMPSHIRE-1952: A vintage 8mm home movie captures a white model rocket labeled 'BTRY A758' and 'MSLBN' standing upright on a launch pad. The rocket, mounted on a metal frame with circular holes, is shown in a grassy outdoor setting with trees and a small building in the background. The footage, shot on 8mm film, exhibits classic grain, slight motion blur, and a nostalgic mid-century aesthetic, suggesting a hobbyist or educational rocketry project from the early 1950s.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1950s archival requests needing a brief home-movie view of a small white rocket or missile-shaped model on an outdoor launch stand in New Hampshire.
Period detail: The 8mm footage shows mid-century color home-movie texture, a simple metal launch frame, and a white rocket marked with hand-lettered or applied text.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has an observational home-movie viewpoint, lingering on the upright rocket and launch frame rather than staging action or showing people.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a white rocket body, red lettering, a metal rail with circular holes, trees, grass, sky, and a small background building.
Film character: The scan carries soft 8mm grain, slight blur, uneven exposure, and contact-sheet framing that give the short view clear physical-film character.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a cutaway, insert, or transition for mid-century hobby rocketry, amateur science, classroom technology, or Cold War-era visual atmosphere.
Historical context: The scene may show an amateur or educational rocket display, but the frames do not confirm launch activity, institutional sponsorship, or a specific event.
Research note: No people are visible, but the rocket markings should be reviewed as possible identifying text or insignia; copyright, trademark, and property issues remain separate clearance questions.
Research search match: Likely matches searches for 1952 New Hampshire 8mm home movie rocket, vintage model missile on launch stand, amateur rocketry footage, or mid-century science display.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with nearby shots from the same reel, then with other New Hampshire 1952 footage, and finally with mid-century rocket, missile, science, or transportation-themed archive clips.
