Group Of Women Marching Together In Uniform — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1966, this vintage home movie captures a group of women in matching dark uniforms with white collars and gloves, marching in formation through an outdoor industrial or fairground setting. The women wear hats and walk with purpose, their synchronized movement suggesting a parade or organized event. In the background, colorful pennant flags, utility poles, and a classic red car are visible under a bright sky. The footage exhibits natural film grain and slight motion blur, characteristic of Super 8 home movies from the era. This archival clip offers a nostalgic glimpse into mid-1960s American life, ideal for documentaries, historical content, or retro-themed projects.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for requests needing mid-1960s American home-movie footage of women marching in uniform for documentary, education, or period montage use.
Period detail: The dark uniforms, white collars and gloves, older red car, pennant flags, and utility poles support a 1966 Mineola, New York outdoor event setting.
Home-movie behavior: The footage has an unstaged spectator viewpoint as the women walk past the camera in formation during an outdoor public gathering.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include uniformed women, white gloves, dark hats, a red car, utility poles, pennant flags, traffic cones, and a fenced roadside area.
Film character: The 8mm scan shows soft focus, visible grain, slight motion blur, uneven exposure, and handheld framing typical of small-gauge home movies.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short insert, transition, or memory beat for organized civic activity, women's groups, or 1960s public events.
Historical context: The scene visually suggests a local parade or organized outdoor gathering, but the exact group, event name, and purpose are not identified in the frames.
Research note: People and faces are visible, so likeness review may be needed; no logos are apparent, and copyright clearance is separate from personal or property rights.
Research search match: Researchers may find this under 1966 Mineola New York 8mm home movie, women marching in uniform, civic parade footage, or 1960s women’s group procession.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other 1966 Mineola footage, then broader 1960s parade, civic event, or uniformed women themes.
