Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1960s 8mm home-movie lake footage for edits needing a quiet American summer recreation moment with boats, dockside swimming, and a person acknowledging the camera.
Period detail: The swimsuit, wooden dock, soft color stock, and small recreational boats may show mid-1960s leisure details consistent with the supplied 1964 Greenwood Lake metadata.
Home-movie behavior: The young woman sits casually with her feet in the water and waves toward the camera, giving the clip an unstaged family-film interaction.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include distant boats and wakes, hazy hills across the lake, a metal swim ladder, a wooden dock, railings, shoreline water, and a seated woman in a patterned swimsuit.
Film character: The 8mm scan carries visible grain, dust specks, soft focus, mild color fading, and exposure shifts that preserve its home-movie texture.
Edit role: Editors can use this as a summer memory beat, lake recreation cutaway, transition from boating to dock life, or brief insert for 1960s vacation atmosphere.
Historical context: The scene reflects informal lakeside recreation and home filming of leisure time, with no visible commercial signage or identifiable public event in the frames.
Research note: A person and face are visible, so likeness review may be needed separately from footage copyright, while no logos, music, or obvious private property are visible in the supplied frames.
Research search match: Useful for searches such as 1960s 8mm lake vacation, Greenwood Lake home movie, woman on dock waving, vintage summer boating, and family film swim dock.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other 1964 Greenwood Lake footage, then related 1960s lake, boating, swimming, and summer vacation home movies.
