Soviet Military Helicopter Landing In A Field — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1971, this vintage footage captures a Soviet military helicopter, marked CCCP-11322, landing in a rural field near Moscow. The scene unfolds with a yellow utility truck parked nearby, while several men in dark suits stand near the aircraft's open ramp. The deep blue sky and distant treeline frame the historic moment, showcasing the helicopter's imposing size and the era's military aviation technology. The grainy, color-graded quality of the Super 8 film adds authentic archival texture.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1970s Moscow-area 8mm footage for productions needing Soviet-era military aviation, rural field operations, or official travel cutaways.
Period detail: The helicopter marking CCCP-11322, dark suits, utility truck, and open field may show Soviet aviation activity near Moscow in 1971.
Home-movie behavior: The handheld viewpoint feels like an observer filming from a nearby position as suited men move around the aircraft and truck.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a gray military helicopter, CCCP fuselage marking, yellow utility truck, suited men, open ramp area, grassy field, distant treeline, and blue sky.
Film character: The 8mm scan has strong grain, soft focus, uneven exposure, and contact-frame borders that give the brief scene clear home-movie archival texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short insert, transition, or establishing cutaway for Soviet-era transport, field arrival, or official movement.
Historical context: The clip visually places a large Soviet-marked helicopter in a rural field setting with adult men nearby, without confirming the operation or identities.
Research note: People, military aircraft markings, and possible state identifiers are visible, so copyright, likeness, trademark or insignia, and editorial-use questions need review.
Research search match: Useful searches include 1971 8mm Soviet helicopter landing, Moscow field aviation footage, CCCP aircraft home movie, and Soviet military transport cutaway.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent footage from the same reel, then other Moscow 1971 scenes, then Soviet transport, aviation, rural field, or official-visit material.
