Shot on 8mm film in 1957, this vintage home movie captures a lively summer day at a public swimming pool in New York. A diverse crowd of adults and children enjoy the sun, with some swimming in the turquoise water while others lounge on chairs or stand by the chain-link fence. People wear classic 1950s swimwear—men in trunks, women in one-piece suits, and children in swim diapers. The scene is framed by lush green trees and a small building in the background, with towels draped over railings. The footage shows natural film grain and slight color fading, offering authentic archival footage of mid-century American recreation and community life.
