A young boy in blue swim trunks dives into a public pool in this 1957 8mm home movie footage from New York. The clip captures him mid-dive, splashing into the turquoise water, then swimming underwater with a strong freestyle stroke. In the background, other swimmers relax on poolside chairs, including a woman in a dark swimsuit and another person in a red swim cap. The scene is framed by a chain-link fence with clothes hanging on it, evoking a nostalgic summer day. Shot on 8mm film, the footage shows natural grain, slight color fading, and authentic vintage charm, perfect for documentaries, editorial content, or nostalgic storytelling.
