A Girl Swimming Towards The Camera Through The Water — Clip Details

A young girl swims toward the camera through a turquoise pool in this 8mm home movie from 1957. Shot in New York, the footage captures her freestyle stroke with water splashing around her as she approaches the lens. The film exhibits classic Super 8 grain, slight color fading, and a soft focus typical of vintage home recordings. Her blonde hair is wet and slicked back, and she smiles briefly as she swims. The clip offers a nostalgic, candid glimpse into mid-century leisure and family life.
