A young boy in a red jacket rides a small horse down a quiet suburban street in Aledo, Texas, 1959. Other children pedal colorful bicycles, including a yellow bike and a tricycle with red wheels, as they play together. Vintage cars—a dark sedan and a light-colored coupe—park along the roadside near a white clapboard house. The footage, shot on 8mm film, shows natural motion blur and grain, capturing a candid moment of childhood joy and community life in the late 1950s.
