Friends Cooking Outdoors over Fire — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1967, this vintage home movie captures a group of friends attempting to cook outdoors in Saint Petersburg, Russia. A woman in a patterned dress bends over a small fire pit, tending to food on rocks, while others in swimwear and casual summer clothes watch and assist. The grainy black-and-white footage shows natural, unscripted moments of camaraderie and recreation in a grassy, wooded area. The film’s scratches and soft focus evoke a nostalgic, authentic 1960s home movie feel, perfect for documentaries, editorial content, or nostalgic storytelling.
