Men Shaking Out Blanket in Field — Clip Details

SAINT PETERSBURG RUSSIA-1967: Four men in vintage attire stand in a grassy field, holding and shaking out a large dark blanket or tarp under an overcast sky. The 8mm film footage shows natural movement as they spread the fabric, with trees and a distant structure visible in the background. The grainy black-and-white image captures a candid moment of rural activity, characteristic of a home movie from the late 1960s. The shot remains steady, focusing on the men's coordinated effort in a quiet, open landscape.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1960s archival sequences needing a brief rural or recreational labor cutaway from Soviet-era home-movie footage.
Period detail: The clothing, black-and-white 8mm look, and open field setting support the supplied 1967 Saint Petersburg-area metadata without showing identifiable landmarks.
Home-movie behavior: The clip captures an unstaged moment as several men coordinate their hands and posture while shaking or spreading a large blanket or tarp.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include four men, a large dark fabric, grassy ground, a waterline or pale open field, distant trees, and soft overcast light.
Film character: The footage has 8mm grain, gate edges, vertical wear marks, soft focus, and uneven exposure that give it a physical home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short insert, transitional field activity, or memory beat for everyday outdoor life in the late 1960s.
Historical context: The scene shows informal group activity in an open landscape, with no visible signage or landmarks to establish a more specific local context.
Research note: People are visible and likeness review may be needed; no logos, music, or private property are apparent, but copyright and source rights remain separate checks.
Research search match: Searches such as 1960s Russian home movie men shaking blanket, 8mm field activity, or Saint Petersburg 1967 outdoor footage may match this clip.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then with 1967 Saint Petersburg material, then with outdoor group activity or rural field scenes.
