Two People Sitting On The Side Of A River On A Slanted Rock — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1938, this vintage home movie captures two people relaxing by a river in Colorado. The first person, a man in dark clothing, sits on a slanted rock beside the water under dim, blue-tinted lighting. The second person, a woman in a light-colored top, appears in a later frame, also seated on the rocky bank. Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1930s Colorado home-movie footage for productions needing a quiet riverside leisure moment with visible people in an outdoor mountain or stream setting.
Period detail: The clip may show late-1930s outdoor clothing and casual travel behavior, though the dim blue exposure limits fine identification of garments or setting details.
Home-movie behavior: The value is an unstaged seated pause beside moving water, with the subject looking toward the camera as if filmed by a companion.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a seated adult, dark clothing, rocky riverbank, flowing water, slanted stone, deep shade, and strong blue color cast.
Film character: The 8mm image has heavy grain, low-light exposure, soft focus, flicker, and color shift that read as physical home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a memory beat, quiet cutaway, or transition within a Colorado travel, family archive, or 1930s leisure sequence.
Historical context: The scene suggests informal outdoor recreation in Colorado, but the frames do not identify a specific river, landmark, family, or event.
Research note: People and faces are visible, so likeness review may be needed in addition to any copyright or source-license assessment.
Research search match: Useful search matches include 1938 Colorado 8mm river footage, 1930s home movie rocky stream, and vintage outdoor leisure by water.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other 1938 Colorado material, then broader home-movie scenes of rivers, rocks, and outdoor relaxation.
