SAN FRANCISCO CALIFORNIA-1937: Black and white 8mm home movie footage captures a group of people ascending a wide outdoor staircase. A woman in a wide-brimmed hat and dress walks alongside a sailor in uniform and other civilians. The setting features distinctive Art Deco-style lampposts and palm trees, suggesting a public or civic space. The grainy, high-contrast image with visible film scratches and soft focus is characteristic of vintage 8mm home movie footage from the late 1930s.
