Exhausted Laborers Pushing Red Barrel — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1946, this archival footage captures laborers at the Suez Canal in Egypt. Men in worn clothing push a red barrel across a dark deck, their bodies glistening with sweat under the harsh sun. The grainy, color-bleached visuals show the physical toll of manual labor, with close-ups revealing emaciated figures and exhausted expressions. The footage offers a raw, unfiltered glimpse into the daily struggle for survival and the harsh conditions of post-war labor in the region.
