Tribal People Walking Across Dusty Plain — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1946, this vintage home movie captures a group of people walking across a dusty, open plain in Bombay, India. Men in white kurtas and turbans walk alongside women in colorful saris, including a striking red one, all moving with purpose. The grainy, slightly faded color and natural motion convey a candid, archival feel. The scene suggests a journey or search under a hot, bright sky, with the subjects' traditional clothing and determined pace reflecting a moment of daily life in mid-20th century India.
