Shot on 8mm film in 1968, this vintage home movie captures two young boys playing in a small dirt pond in Ely, Nevada. One boy stands with a garden hose, spraying water while the other splashes in the muddy water. They wear swim trunks and laugh as they play in the dusty yard, surrounded by a wire fence, a wooden pole, and a simple building under a bright blue sky. The footage shows natural film grain and a distinct color palette typical of 1960s home movies, evoking a sense of nostalgic Americana and childhood summers.
