Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Supports requests for 1971 home-movie resort or travel footage showing poolside leisure in Yellowstone, Wyoming for documentary, educational, or editorial period sequences.
Period detail: The striped lounge chairs, multicolor patio umbrella, low-rise motel architecture, and sleeveless patterned clothing may show early 1970s American vacation style.
Home-movie behavior: The value is an unstaged visitor perspective, with seated vacationers and casual panning that suggest private travel footage rather than a formal resort film.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a brick motel wall, red door, utility poles, low-rise lodging block, chain-link fence, striped umbrella, parked car, lawn, and lounge chairs.
Film character: The 8mm image has soft focus, visible grain, uneven exposure, dark frame edges, and handheld framing that read as authentic home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short cutaway, travel-memory insert, motel-pool transition, or period leisure beat within a 1970s Americana sequence.
Historical context: The scene documents casual resort recreation and roadside lodging aesthetics without confirming the facility name, ownership, or any specific Yellowstone landmark.
Research note: People and recognizable faces are visible, so likeness review may be needed separately from copyright, and the motel setting should be assessed for property concerns if identifiable.
Research search match: Relevant searches include 1971 Yellowstone Wyoming home movie, 1970s poolside motel footage, vintage resort lounge chairs, and 8mm American vacation film.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent same-reel Yellowstone travel scenes, then other 1971 Wyoming resort or roadside footage, then broader 1970s American vacation leisure clips.
