Shot on 8mm film in 1969, this vintage home movie captures a sun-drenched desert scene at Lake Tahoe, California. The footage shows a cluster of trailers and low-slung buildings nestled against a rocky hillside, with palm trees dotting the arid landscape. People in period clothing, including a woman in a hat and a child in bright red pants, walk through the dusty compound. The grainy, color-bleached quality of the Super 8 film evokes a strong sense of nostalgia and Americana from the late 1960s.
