Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1950s 8mm home-movie footage for documentary or editorial requests needing a brief lakeside leisure moment with an adult man and natural scenery.
Period detail: The red collared shirt, soft color reversal palette, and small-gauge film handling may show mid-1950s amateur vacation filming, with the 1956 date supported by clip metadata.
Home-movie behavior: An adult man smiles and looks down near the water while the camera lingers on the surrounding lake and wooded shoreline in an unstaged home-movie manner.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include an adult man in a red shirt, blue lake water, evergreen shoreline, rocky bank, pale sky, film gate edges, and a contact-sheet frame divider.
Film character: The clip has visible 8mm grain, soft focus, slight exposure variation, rounded frame edges, and saturated blues and greens typical of scanned amateur color film.
Edit role: Editors could use it as a short memory beat, scenic cutaway, or transition from a person at the lakeside to a broader view of water and woods.
Historical context: The footage documents private outdoor leisure and scenic looking rather than a public event, with no visible signage or landmarks confirming a specific site within Miami.
Research note: A visible adult face may require likeness review, while copyright and source licensing remain separate from any privacy, property, or location identification checks.
Research search match: Useful search matches include 1956 8mm lake home movie, 1950s man by water, vintage lakeside vacation footage, and amateur color film shoreline cutaway.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other 1956 Miami-labeled material, and then broader 1950s outdoor leisure or lakeside scenery clips.
