Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1970s 8mm wildlife-park or safari-style footage useful for documentary inserts about family travel, roadside attractions, captive big cats, or leisure tourism in Arizona.
Period detail: The frames show 1972-era color home-movie texture, open grassy enclosures, palm-like trees, and distant hills, with no visible signage or landmarks to confirm the exact site on screen.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has a visitor-shot perspective, observing lions from a distance rather than staging action, with brief handheld views across a landscaped enclosure.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include resting lions, grassy slopes, palm-like trees, a dirt track, distant hills, blue sky, and a reflective water edge in one frame.
Film character: The 8mm image carries soft focus, grain, slight blur, color fading, and exposure variation that read as original home-movie film texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short cutaway, transition, or memory beat for 1970s travel, wildlife viewing, or captive-animal attraction sequences.
Historical context: The footage reflects a leisure-travel encounter with lions in an enclosed landscape, but the frames alone do not establish the facility, ownership, or exact animal setting.
Research note: No people, logos, or readable brands are visible, but copyright, location permissions, and any animal-facility/property issues should still be reviewed separately.
Research search match: Useful search matches include 1972 8mm lions, vintage safari park footage, 1970s Arizona wildlife attraction, home movie big cats, and captive lions on hillside.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent reel material, then other 1972 Grand Canyon or Arizona travel footage, then broader 1970s wildlife-park and big-cat home movies.
