Sea Lions Swimming in Pool with Visitors at Animal Park — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1969, this vintage home movie captures sea lions swimming in a pool enclosure at an animal park in San Diego, California. Visitors in period attire watch from a curved walkway, their figures silhouetted against the green-tinted water. The footage shows a lively scene with people observing the animals, some standing near a sign, others walking along the path. The film exhibits classic Super 8 characteristics—soft focus, warm color cast, and subtle grain—evoking a nostalgic 1960s atmosphere. This archival clip offers authentic, unscripted moments of public entertainment at a mid-century zoo.
