Saint Louis Missouri-1959: Two Men In A Room One On The Phone

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit

Supports 1950s business, office, and telephone communication requests for documentary inserts or period workplace cutaways.

Period detail

The rotary telephone, men's suits, ties, wall chart, desk setting, and monochrome 8mm look support a late-1950s office atmosphere.

Home-movie behavior

The seated man smiling toward the camera and the suited man using the phone give the clip an informal, observed workplace feel.

What appears in frame

Visible elements include two adult men, a desk, a book or papers, a rotary telephone, eyeglasses, neckties, a wall chart, and office walls.

Film character

Soft focus, visible grain, uneven exposure, and slight handheld framing give the short scene authentic scanned 8mm texture.

Edit role

An editor could use this as a brief office insert, telephone cutaway, workplace transition, or mid-century communication memory beat.

Historical context

The footage reflects a small interior office moment in Saint Louis, with adult men presented in formal business dress.

Research note

People and a private interior are visible, so likeness and property review may be needed separate from copyright status.
