Man And Woman Feed Pigeons In Park Surrounded By Birds — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1978, this vintage home movie captures a sunny day in Madrid, Spain, where a man in a dark suit and a woman in a green top feed white pigeons in a bustling park. The couple stands surrounded by a flock of birds, with some perched on their arms and hands, while others peck at the ground. In the background, an older woman sits at a small table, and classic cars pass by on a nearby street. Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1970s Madrid editorial sequences needing everyday park life, tourists or residents feeding pigeons, and candid leisure footage from small-gauge home movies.
Period detail: Visible clues include late-1970s clothing, older cars near the park, a vendor-style table, and the warm color response of 8mm footage.
Home-movie behavior: The clip records an unstaged public interaction as a man and woman let pigeons perch on their hands and arms while more birds gather around them.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a suited man, a woman in a green top, white pigeons, a seated older woman, park paths, trees, cars, and colorful balloons.
Film character: The 8mm image has soft focus, visible grain, warm faded color, slight exposure variation, and a handheld home-movie contact with the scene.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a short insert, travel cutaway, memory beat, or transition into everyday urban life in Spain during the 1970s.
Historical context: The footage shows casual public recreation in Madrid, with people interacting with pigeons in a park setting rather than a staged performance.
Research note: People and faces are visible, so likeness review may be needed; no logos or private property are evident, and copyright clearance is separate from appearance rights.
Research search match: Searches such as 1978 Madrid park pigeons, 8mm Spain home movie, tourists feeding birds, and 1970s European city park match this clip naturally.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other Madrid 1978 street or park footage, then broader themes of 1970s travel and public leisure.
