Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for archive requests needing 1960s U.S. home-movie footage of casual family recreation, backyard games, or Frisbee play for documentary, education, or period lifestyle edits.
Period detail: The 1967 8mm footage shows casual warm-weather clothing, lawn play, and a rustic wooded backyard setting that fits mid-century family leisure imagery.
Home-movie behavior: The value is in the unstaged pauses, throws, and relaxed body language of adults playing together on a lawn while the camera observes from nearby.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include three adults, a Frisbee, grass lawn, wooded trees, casual shorts and shirts, and a small open shelter with a brick chimney.
Film character: The clip has a home-movie 8mm texture with soft focus, visible grain, uneven exposure, and contact-sheet framing that reinforces its scanned film origin.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short insert, transition, or memory beat for family leisure, summer recreation, backyard games, or 1960s everyday life.
Historical context: The scene gives visual context for informal outdoor recreation in a family or social setting without establishing a public event or organized sport.
Research note: People are clearly visible, so likeness review may be needed; no logos are apparent, and copyright, privacy, and property considerations should be assessed separately.
Research search match: Relevant searches include 1967 Galena Illinois home movie, 8mm backyard Frisbee, 1960s family recreation, vintage lawn game footage, and casual outdoor sports.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent footage from the same reel, then other Galena 1967 material, then broader 1960s home movies of family games and outdoor recreation.
