Young Boy Standing by Lake with Dam in Background — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1967, this vintage home movie captures a young boy standing on a dry, grassy hillside overlooking a deep blue lake in Colorado. The boy, wearing a white shirt and dark shorts, stands near a lone evergreen tree as the camera pans across the rugged terrain. In the background, a dam structure is visible on the far shore, with layered rock formations rising above the water. The footage exhibits classic Super 8 grain, warm color saturation, and natural light, evoking a nostalgic 1960s family vacation atmosphere. The scene is quiet and contemplative, with the boy looking toward the camera before the view shifts to the expansive landscape.
