Shot on 8mm film in 1966, this vintage home movie clip captures two handwritten signs posted on a weathered wooden surface in Silver Lake, California. The first sign lists items for sale: a harrow, saddles, liniment, knapsacks, a blanket, and 100 feet of barbed wire, all for $10.00, with instructions to see Pat at Lil'2 Saloon. The second sign advertises a rusty but functional .44 Colt revolver in good shape, available at the same saloon. The grainy, slightly faded color and film scratches evoke a strong sense of Americana and nostalgia from the mid-1960s.
