Parade Float Riding Through Town — Clip Details

A vintage 8mm home movie from 1964 captures a lively parade in Harvard, Illinois. A prominent floral float labeled 'MILK QUEEN' and 'ADMIRAL HARVARD TV & AP' moves through the town, featuring a young woman in a white gown seated atop a large, green, flower-covered structure. Spectators line the streets, watching from sidewalks and balconies adorned with American flags and bunting. A classic white convertible with red trim leads the procession. The footage, shot on 8mm film, shows natural film grain and slight color fading, offering authentic archival footage of a small-town American celebration.
