Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1960s San Diego waterfront or working-harbor edits needing brief home-movie footage of a bait boat at golden hour.
Period detail: The 8mm frame may show mid-century dock signage, a white bait boat with round portholes, and hand-painted commercial lettering on the cabin.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has an unstaged dockside viewpoint, with a silhouetted person in the foreground watching or standing near the boat.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include the TOMMY BOY hull name, HORN'S LANDING lettering, O AND K BAIT signage, round portholes, rigging, water, sunset light, and a silhouetted figure.
Film character: The footage carries authentic 8mm grain, soft focus, slight gate shadowing, warm exposure, and handheld framing from a physical home-movie scan.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a short insert, waterfront transition, fishing-industry cutaway, or memory beat within a California harbor sequence.
Historical context: The scene reflects a casual 1962 home-movie look at a commercial bait boat and dockside activity in San Diego without confirming business history.
Research note: Visible people and boat signage require likeness, trademark, and location review; copyright status and clearance are separate checks.
Research search match: Matches searches for 1962 San Diego harbor footage, 8mm bait boat, Horn's Landing sign, vintage dock scene, and California waterfront home movie.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent reel material, then other 1962 San Diego waterfront shots, then broader fishing, docks, boats, and harbor-life footage.
