Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Fills a 1960s Rocky Mountain tourism or American West summer recreation slot in documentary, travel-history, or postwar leisure productions.
Period detail: The woman's red vest, dark skirt, and period hairstyle, combined with faded 8mm color and frame vignetting, are consistent with early 1960s American leisure dress; dated 1962 per metadata.
Home-movie behavior: A companion films the woman walking directly toward the camera on a mountain path — a characteristic tourist-documentation gesture of the postwar American family vacation.
What appears in frame: Woman in red vest and dark skirt on a paved path, snow-capped mountain peaks, dense evergreen forest, grassy open slope with lingering snow patches, scattered background visitors, low building structure, and blue sky with clouds.
Film character: Characteristic 8mm frame vignetting, mild warm color shift, visible film grain, and gentle handheld movement give the footage an intimate, authentic period texture valued in archival montage.
Edit role: Functions as a character-walking insert or travel cutaway in a 1960s Colorado or Rocky Mountain sequence, and as a memory beat in a mid-century American West or postwar leisure documentary.
Historical context: Summer mountain tourism in the Colorado Rockies was well established by the early 1960s; the paved path and visible low structure suggest a developed visitor area or resort grounds.
Research note: Identifiable adult faces are visible in multiple frames; likeness clearance for the primary subject and background individuals should be assessed before editorial use; no logos or private interiors observed.
Research search match: Researchers may search for 1960s Colorado mountain home movie, Rocky Mountain summer tourism film, Summit County 1962 footage, or postwar American family vacation outdoors.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with other clips from the same Summit County 1962 reel; then with 1960s Colorado or Rocky Mountain tourism footage; then with postwar American family vacation or outdoor recreation films.
