Shot on 8mm film in 1961, this vintage home movie captures a sunny summer day at a public swimming pool in Hagerstown, Maryland. Children and adults in classic swimwear gather around the pool, with some standing on diving boards and others relaxing under umbrellas. The scene is framed by lush green trees and a chain-link fence, with a person's head visible in the foreground, suggesting a personal, candid perspective. The final frame shifts to a view from a moving train, showing a man walking a horse along a grassy embankment beside a canal, offering a glimpse of rural life. This archival footage evokes nostalgia for mid-century Americana and everyday leisure.
