People Skating On Frozen Pond At Night — Clip Details

HAGERSTOWN MARYLAND USA-1961: People skate on a frozen pond under a deep purple-blue night glow, their figures silhouetted against the icy surface. Shot on 8mm film, the footage captures a group of individuals in winter coats and hats, some holding hockey sticks, gliding and stumbling across the dark, reflective ice. The scene is bathed in an unnatural, cool-toned light, creating a mysterious, almost surreal atmosphere. The grainy texture and low-light conditions suggest a home movie captured during a winter evening, offering a nostalgic glimpse into a bygone era of outdoor recreation.
