Shot on 8mm film in 1962, this vintage home movie captures a family enjoying a sunny day at a backyard swimming pool in Calcutta, India. A person swims in the turquoise water while others relax by the poolside, surrounded by lush greenery and flowering vines. The footage shows the classic grain, color fading, and slight motion blur of a Super 8 home movie, offering a nostalgic glimpse into mid-century domestic leisure. The scene radiates warmth and carefree summer fun, with a man and woman standing near the edge, watching the swimmer. This authentic archival clip is ideal for documentaries, nostalgic content, or history educators exploring 1960s life in India.
