Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1960s Los Angeles-area marine show footage for documentary or museum edits needing visitor-shot animal performance material.
Period detail: The white-uniformed poolside staff, simple show equipment, and faded color 8mm look may show mid-century marine park presentation style.
Home-movie behavior: The clip preserves a spectator viewpoint from behind a foreground barrier as the dolphin performs near trainers on the pool deck.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a dolphin, white disc, blue pool water, uniformed trainers, pool deck gear, railing, and a dark foreground fence or barrier.
Film character: The 8mm scan has blue-shifted color, visible grain, soft focus, and a slightly distant handheld composition typical of home-movie footage.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a brief insert, cutaway, or memory beat for marine parks, animal shows, leisure travel, or 1960s entertainment.
Historical context: The footage shows a public marine animal performance setting, with trainers and poolside apparatus framing the dolphin act.
Research note: People and possible venue branding are visible, so copyright, likeness, trademark, and location identification should be reviewed separately.
Research search match: Useful search matches include 1962 8mm dolphin show, Marineland pool performance, Los Angeles marine park home movie, and vintage animal act footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent reel scenes, then other 1962 Los Angeles or Marineland material, then broader vintage marine animal show footage.
