Los Angeles California USA-1962: A Sailor And Sea Mammal At A Pool Show

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit

Useful for 1960s Los Angeles archive requests needing visitor-shot marine park entertainment, pool-show cutaways, or mid-century animal exhibit context.

Period detail

The white-uniformed trainer, artificial rock stage, turquoise pool, fencing, and faded 8mm color may show a 1962 aquarium or marine attraction presentation.

Home-movie behavior

The clip has the feel of a visitor filming from the audience as a trainer stands by a pool while a sea mammal moves near the show platform.

What appears in frame

Visible details include a turquoise pool, artificial rock formation, white-uniformed trainer, dark sea mammal, brown fence, small slide, and green hillside foliage.

Film character

The footage carries 8mm home-movie texture with soft focus, visible grain, blue-magenta color shift, slight exposure variation, and a fixed spectator viewpoint.

Edit role

An editor could use it as a brief insert, transition, or memory beat for mid-century leisure, aquarium visits, or animal-show programming.

Historical context

The scene documents a public entertainment setting where marine mammals were presented to visitors, without identifying the exact venue from the frames alone.

Research note

People are visible and the venue is not identified, so likeness, location, and animal-performance context should be reviewed separately from copyright status.
