Women Playing Racquetball on Residential Street at Dusk — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1963, this vintage home movie captures a group of women playing racquetball in a residential neighborhood at dusk. The scene unfolds in Hagerstown, Maryland, with silhouetted figures moving across a grassy yard near modest houses. The footage exhibits classic Super 8 grain and a cool blue-purple color cast, characteristic of low-light film. Women in casual summer attire, including blue and white tops, are seen actively swinging rackets. The final frame shows two women sitting together, smiling, preserving a moment of casual recreation and community life from the early 1960s.
