Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Fills mid-century Florida resort requests for 1960s lifestyle documentaries, travel history productions, or commercial projects needing authentic period leisure imagery.
Period detail: The white figurative stone statue, red brick garden wall, and modernist white mid-rise hotel building suggest mid-century resort architecture consistent with the 1960 date given in the metadata.
Home-movie behavior: The static, tourist-style framing of the resort grounds without people captures the visitor impulse to document an impressive vacation space as a personal travel memento.
What appears in frame: White figurative statue on pedestal, red brick garden wall, manicured garden bed, multi-story white resort hotel, central pool fountain, tall palm trees, poolside lounge chairs, and ornamental lamp posts.
Film character: Warm color cast, visible grain, and slight edge vignetting are typical of early-1960s 8mm stock; soft focus on mid-ground elements adds period texture without obscuring the architectural detail.
Edit role: Functions as a location-establishing insert or travel cutaway for mid-century Florida leisure sequences; the static framing allows clean cuts into or out of a vacation montage.
Historical context: The ornamental pool garden and mid-rise hotel building reflect Florida's postwar resort boom, when poolside properties with decorative grounds became central to the state's leisure economy.
Research note: No identifiable people visible; no legible brand signage confirmed; the hotel building may constitute private property, so verify architectural IP and property rights before editorial or commercial use.
Research search match: Likely matches researcher queries for 1960s Florida resort, vintage Tampa hotel pool, mid-century vacation 8mm, or poolside fountain Florida 1960.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with other clips from the same Tampa 1960 reel or source; then with mid-century Florida hotel footage; then with broader 1960s American resort and vacation material.
