Family Visiting Zoo with Alpacas and Bear Cubs — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1959, this vintage home movie captures a family visiting the Catskill region of New York. A woman in a maroon dress holds a young child in a blue shirt while another child stands nearby, observing two dark-furred alpacas or llamas in an enclosure. The scene transitions to a group of young black bear cubs in a rocky habitat, some standing on their hind legs and interacting playfully. The footage exhibits classic Super 8 grain, color shifts, and a nostalgic, candid feel, offering authentic archival material for documentaries, historical content, or nostalgic storytelling.
