Shot on 8mm film in 1958, this vintage home movie captures a tender moment between a grandfather and his toddler grandson on a quiet street in Ontario, Canada. The grandfather, wearing a light-colored short-sleeve shirt and dark pants, bends down to hand something to the small boy in a blue and white plaid shirt. The child, with light hair, turns and walks away, then reaches out to take the hand of a woman in a dark dress, likely his mother, as they walk together. The footage shows natural film grain, slight color fading, and a candid, nostalgic quality characteristic of mid-century family home movies.
