A Lake And A Man And Woman Sitting At A Picnic Table In... — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1958, this vintage home movie captures a serene lakeside scene in Colorado. The first frames show a calm lake reflecting surrounding trees, with people visible on a rocky shore. The scene transitions to a man and woman sitting at a wooden picnic table in front of a rustic stone building. The man is shirtless, wearing light-colored pants, while the woman wears a light blouse. The footage exhibits classic Super 8 film grain, warm color tones, and a nostalgic, candid quality, evoking mid-century American leisure and family life.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1950s Colorado leisure, lakeside vacation, and mid-century family home-movie sequences needing brief outdoor cutaways.
Period detail: The rustic stone building, wooden picnic table, informal summer clothing, and 8mm color stock support a late-1950s vacation setting.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has an unstaged home-movie feel, moving from a scenic lake view to two adults casually seated outdoors at a picnic table.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a reflective lake, rocky shoreline, trees, distant people, a stone building, green doors, a picnic table, and two seated adults.
Film character: The footage shows 8mm grain, soft focus, warm color shifts, slight exposure variation, and a handheld family-film texture.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a vacation insert, lakeside transition, rustic lodge cutaway, or quiet memory beat between family scenes.
Historical context: The images suggest mid-century American recreation around a lake or lodge setting without confirming a named resort or landmark.
Research note: Adults are visible and faces are recognizable, so likeness review may be needed in addition to copyright and property assessment.
Research search match: Search matches include 1958 Colorado 8mm home movie, lakeside picnic table, rustic stone cabin, and mid-century vacation footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then Colorado 1958 material, then broader 1950s lake vacation and family leisure scenes.
