Dunes Hotel Sign And Hotel Showboat Casino — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1957, this vintage home movie captures a nostalgic view of Las Vegas, Nevada. The clip opens on a large statue atop a building with the word 'DUNES' in bold lettering, likely part of the Dunes Hotel. A classic yellow convertible and a white 1950s sedan pass by a stucco building with arched windows. The sequence concludes with a circular sign for the Hotel Showboat Casino, advertising performances by Antone & Curtiss and the Al Day Trio. The footage exhibits natural film grain, slight blurriness, and a faded color palette typical of 8mm home movies from the era.
