Vintage Couple In Water At Lake — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1957, this vintage home movie captures a couple standing in the water at a sun-drenched lake or ocean shore in Catskill, New York. The woman wears a dark one-piece swimsuit with a white skirted cover-up, while the man is shirtless in patterned swim trunks. They stand waist-deep, surrounded by other swimmers and sparkling sunlight on the water. The footage shows natural film grain, slight color fading, and a nostalgic, candid quality typical of mid-century family vacations. A young child is also visible in the water nearby. This authentic archival clip evokes 1950s Americana and is ideal for documentaries, editorial content, or nostalgic storytelling.
