Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for requests needing mid-1950s office party or workplace social footage for documentary, museum, education, or editorial sequences.
Period detail: Visible clues include suits, ties, cocktail dresses, a bow-collar sweater, cigarettes, drinks, serving gloves, horizontal blinds, and warm interior decor consistent with 1950s social settings.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has candid home-movie value as adults drink, smoke, smile, turn toward one another, and accept food during an informal indoor gathering.
What appears in frame: The frames show adult party guests, drinking glasses, cigarettes, a waiter with a tray, horizontal blinds, yellow walls, a table edge, and a rotary telephone.
Film character: The 8mm scan carries soft focus, visible grain, warm color, uneven exposure, and handheld framing that support its physical home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short insert, social-history cutaway, workplace holiday beat, or transition into a memory sequence about office culture.
Historical context: The footage documents an indoor adult gathering where workplace colleagues appear to socialize with drinks, cigarettes, and served food in a private interior.
Research note: People and a private interior are visible, so likeness, privacy, and property considerations should be reviewed separately from any copyright assessment.
Research search match: Relevant searches include 1950s office holiday party, Albany home movie office party, 8mm workplace gathering, adults drinking and smoking, and waiter serving tray.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other Albany or 1956 material, then broader 1950s office, holiday party, and workplace social footage.
