Women Work At Fruit Stand With Grapefruit Poster — Clip Details

DADE COUNTY FLORIDA-1955: Two women in white uniforms and hats work behind a counter in a rustic fruit stand, surrounded by crates of produce. One woman wears a distinctive red hat while the other wears a white hat, both appearing to handle goods or interact with a customer. A man in a white shirt and blue pants briefly enters the frame. The setting features a painted backdrop of oranges and a vintage 'Florida Grapefruit' poster, capturing a slice of mid-century American life. Shot on 8mm film, the footage exhibits natural grain and warm, slightly faded colors characteristic of home movies from the 1950s.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1950s Florida inserts showing roadside fruit-stand labor, produce selling, and mid-century tourist commerce in home-movie footage.
Period detail: The uniforms, painted citrus display, produce crates, and Florida Grapefruit poster may show mid-century roadside retail detail in Dade County, Florida.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has unstaged value in the casual movements of two women working behind the stand as a man briefly steps into the customer area.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include two uniformed women, white and red hats, citrus graphics, produce crates, a counter, a Florida Grapefruit poster, and a passing man.
Film character: The 8mm image has soft focus, warm faded color, visible grain, and slight handheld framing that support its home-movie archive texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a brief insert, cutaway, or memory beat for Florida travel, roadside commerce, food retail, or 1950s daily work.
Historical context: The scene visually places women workers in a small fruit-stand setting where citrus promotion and customer service are part of the frame.
Research note: People, faces, a visible poster, and private property appear in the footage, so likeness, trademark, property, and copyright review may be needed.
Research search match: Researchers may match this to searches for 1950s Florida fruit stand, Dade County citrus stand, 8mm roadside produce, women workers, or grapefruit poster.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with the same reel, then other 1955 Dade County or Florida travel clips, then broader roadside fruit stand or citrus-market footage.
