A young boy in blue pajamas stands before a fireplace mantel in a Cleveland, Ohio home during the 1951 holiday season. Two red Christmas stockings with white snowmen and polka dots hang from the mantel, capturing a moment of quiet anticipation. The 8mm film footage shows the boy from behind, then turning to smile at the camera, his face lit with festive joy. The warm, grainy quality of the vintage home movie evokes deep nostalgia for mid-century American Christmas traditions.
