Shot on 8mm film in 1951, this vintage home movie captures three children in thick winter coats, hats, and gloves playing in the snow in West Germany. They work together to build a snowman on a snowy slope, rolling a large snowball while others assist and push it into place. The grainy black-and-white footage shows bare trees and a fence in the background, with snow-covered branches framing the scene. The children’s joyful, collaborative effort reflects classic winter nostalgia from the early 1950s.
