Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1970s 8mm riverfront footage for productions needing a military vessel, industrial shoreline, or Pennsylvania travel-memory cutaway.
Period detail: The frames show a blue-tinted 1970s home-movie view of a naval ship near low industrial buildings, open water, railings, and a distant bridge.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has a visitor-shot perspective from the shoreline, using trees and railings as foreground while watching the vessel and riverfront.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a naval ship, broad river water, industrial buildings, smokestacks, a bridge span, shoreline railings, trees, and open sky.
Film character: The 8mm scan carries soft focus, visible grain, blue color shift, slight exposure variation, and handheld framing typical of amateur physical film.
Edit role: Editors can use this as a short insert, establishing cutaway, riverfront transition, or memory beat around military transport and 1970s travel.
Historical context: The scene documents a riverside industrial and military visual setting without identifying a specific facility beyond the supplied Middletown metadata.
Research note: No people, logos, or audible music are flagged, but military subject matter and location identification should still be reviewed for intended use.
Research search match: Relevant searches include 1975 Middletown Pennsylvania 8mm riverfront, naval ship docked by shoreline, and 1970s home movie bridge water.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent footage from the same reel, then other Middletown or 1975 Pennsylvania scenes, then river, bridge, ship, or military cutaways.
