Coastal View with Fishing Boat and Tower — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1975, this vintage home movie captures a serene view across a calm sea to a coastal town. The footage shows a small fishing boat on the water, with a distant shoreline featuring white buildings and a prominent white tower. The scene is bathed in a distinct blue tint, characteristic of aged Super 8 film, with visible grain and scratches that enhance its nostalgic, archival quality. The camera appears to pan slowly, offering a peaceful, sun-drenched perspective of a quiet waterfront community.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1970s 8mm home-movie waterfront footage for documentary, museum, education, or editorial sequences needing a quiet coastal establishing view.
Period detail: The white waterfront buildings, distant tower, and aged 8mm color may show a mid-1970s Florida coastal or Everglades trip view, based on the clip metadata.
Home-movie behavior: The clip carries a visitor-shot perspective, lingering across water toward a shoreline rather than staging action or identifiable people.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include calm blue water, a distant shoreline, white low buildings, a tall white tower, a small boat shape, a waterfront facade, and a red-orange dockside object.
Film character: The footage has soft focus, blue color shift, visible grain, scratches, gate edges, and slight handheld framing typical of scanned amateur 8mm film.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a brief establishing insert, travel transition, coastal cutaway, or reflective memory beat between Florida trip scenes.
Historical context: The view documents a waterfront community from across the water, emphasizing leisure travel observation rather than a documented event or public ceremony.
Research note: No people, logos, or readable brands are visible, but copyright, location identification, and possible property context should still be reviewed.
Research search match: Likely matches searches for 1975 8mm Florida waterfront, Everglades trip coastal town view, vintage home movie shoreline, or blue-tinted sea front footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then with 1975 Florida or Everglades travel views, then with broader vintage coastal waterfront material.
