Cowboys Holding Horse While Talking In Pasture — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1975, this vintage home movie captures a rural ranch scene in the Florida Everglades. Two cowboys stand near a horse in the foreground, one in a cowboy hat and jacket, the other in a light-colored suit, appearing to converse. A large herd of cattle grazes in the expansive green pasture behind them under a bright blue sky. The footage shows natural film grain, slight color fading, and a slightly shaky handheld perspective, characteristic of Super 8 home movies from the era. The scene evokes a sense of quiet, everyday life on a working ranch.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1970s 8mm ranch footage for productions needing Everglades-area cattle work, rural labor, or everyday cowboy life as archival insert material.
Period detail: The clothing, horse handling, open pasture, and color 8mm home-movie texture support the supplied 1975 setting without showing specific landmarks.
Home-movie behavior: The camera observes two adults beside a saddled horse from a casual handheld distance while cattle graze behind them.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include two adults, a horse, cattle spread across pasture, fence posts, open grassland, distant horizon, and blue sky.
Film character: The clip has soft 8mm color, visible grain, dust specks, slight fading, and handheld framing that read as original home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a rural establishing cutaway, ranch-life insert, travel-memory beat, or transition into cattle and pasture sequences.
Historical context: The footage shows cattle ranch activity in a Florida Everglades setting, reflecting a quiet working-landscape view rather than a staged event.
Research note: People are visible at a distance, so likeness review may be needed; no logos are apparent, and copyright clearance is separate from privacy or property concerns.
Research search match: Useful search phrases include 1975 Florida Everglades ranch footage, 8mm cowboys with horse, cattle pasture home movie, and 1970s rural Florida cattle.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent reel shots, then other 1975 Florida Everglades material, then broader ranch, cattle, cowboy, and rural travel footage.
