Large Herd Of Cattle In A Field On A Sunny Day — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1975, this vintage home movie captures a large herd of cattle grazing in a sun-drenched field in the Florida Everglades. The footage, viewed through a window frame, shows cows in various shades of brown and white moving across the grassy landscape under a bright blue sky. The film exhibits classic Super 8 characteristics: soft focus, natural color fading, and visible grain, with a few specks and scratches adding to its authentic archival quality. The scene evokes a sense of rural Americana and peaceful countryside life.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1970s 8mm home-movie cattle footage for productions needing a rural Florida Everglades grazing cutaway or agricultural travel insert.
Period detail: The frames show open pasture, simple fencing, and a window-framed view that may show a 1970s visitor or road-trip perspective rather than a formal farm film.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has unstaged home-movie value in its casual view through a window frame toward cattle moving across a sunny field.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a large cattle herd, grassy pasture, fence posts, a gate, blue sky, distant flat horizon, and dark window-frame edges.
Film character: The 8mm image has soft focus, visible grain, slight color shift, dust specks, and gentle handheld framing that reads as authentic home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a brief rural insert, travel-memory beat, agricultural cutaway, or transition into Everglades landscape material.
Historical context: The footage visually places cattle grazing within a broad, flat Florida Everglades landscape without making claims about ownership, industry, or event context.
Research note: No people, faces, logos, or audible music are indicated, but copyright, location, and any property-related permissions should still be reviewed for the intended use.
Research search match: Useful search matches include 1970s 8mm cattle herd, Florida Everglades pasture, home movie cows in field, and vintage rural America footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with same-reel Florida Everglades travel shots, then 1975 Florida footage, then broader 1970s rural cattle or pasture scenes.
