View Of A Big Field Surrounded By Water — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1975, this vintage home movie captures a panoramic view of a large open field in Middletown, Pennsylvania. The black-and-white footage reveals a grassy expanse bordered by trees and a low stone wall, with a distinctive stone fireplace structure visible in the distance. A white bench and a circular signpost stand near the edge of the field, while a body of water reflects the sky in the foreground. The camera pans slowly across the scene, capturing the quiet, nostalgic atmosphere of a suburban park or community space. The grainy texture and film borders add authentic vintage charm.

What appears in frame: Visible details include an open grassy field, water in the foreground, mature trees, a low stone wall, benches, a circular signpost, and a small stone structure.
Film character: Black-and-white 8mm texture shows soft focus, visible grain, slight exposure variation, and frame-edge artifacts from the physical film scan.
Edit role: An editor could use this as an establishing insert, reflective transition, environmental cutaway, or quiet memory beat within a 1970s Pennsylvania sequence.
Historical context: The scene documents modest public or community landscape design and leisure space as seen through a home-movie camera, without visible crowds or activity.
Research note: No people, logos, or audible music are indicated, but copyright, location identification, and any property-use questions should still be reviewed by the buyer.
